Okay, so if you’ve been reading my blog, you may have noticed a trend…I’ve been in a kick with isometric, light weight, high rep workouts. This morning I did Tracy Effinger’s Squeeze Stronger (fitness workout). I didn’t have time for the full workout (which is 80 some minutes), so I had a choice of either upper body and waist or lower body and abs. Given that choice, I generally choose lower body because that’s the area that I have the most trouble with. I really want that jiggly stuff to disappear!! I must say that I love this workout. I like that Tracy is far more toned in this workout than in the original Squeeze: The Complete Workout with Tracy Effinger
. I must also say that the pretzel/clam combo for glutes in this workout is FAR more difficult!! My gluteus maximus was shaking and burning by the time the segment was over!! AND I feel great. Some of the moves that she uses are really innovative…. I do wish that she used the ball more. I think that the workout could really benefit from some inner-thigh work with the ball. She does do a move in the abs segment called ‘back dancing’ that you could use the ball in. Overall, I really enjoy this workout. I do it even though every time I finish I’m sore and it hurts to walk. LOL I cannot wait to see the changes in my body a month from now!!
