I’ve been toying with the idea of becoming a pesca-tarian. That means that I would eat fish, eggs, dairy, but no meat, red or otherwise. I have a girlfriend that lost nearly 20 pounds just by changing her diet alone. I already limit my intake of red meat, eating it only once in a great while (read less than one time per month). The hard thing for me would be chicken…but the more that I think about it, the more I realize that I really like fish, and chicken isn’t an end-all for me. I do have ALOT of chicken recipes that I enjoy, but honestly, I haven’t been cooking my soups or enchiladas that much. I think that the transition would actually be fairly easy for me. This also goes into the fact that I’ve been looking into clean eating. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a bit of a chocolate addict, and have a soft spot in my heart for Snowballs…but I think that I would feel better and have more energy on a clean/pescatarian diet. I’m going to do a little more reserach, since I’m not entirely sure how this will work with Weight Watchers. I have about 10-15 pounds that I still want to lose, and I thinkt that making this transition would be beneficial to both my diet and my weight loss efforts. I’ll be sure to post my findings!!
