Rest Days

It is so very important for your body to take rest days. When I am working out 5-6 days a week, taking that one or two days to rest allows your muscles and tendons time to rebuild and strengthen themselves. Interestingly, when I very first started working out, I rarely took rest days. I felt like I was doing something wrong if I didn’t workout every single day. This was a very hard situation, as my muscles were getting broken down continuously, but never had a chance to rebuild. I have noticed that since beginning to take one or two days off a week, I am stronger, less sore and I look forward to my workouts so much more.
