I’ve blogged about Tracy Anderson’s Method before, and here I go again. First of all…who wouldn’t want to look like that?! The basis for this blog began when I watched the youtube videos of her 2 week bootcamp. The exercises looking intruging, challenging and DIFFERENT.
You can see them here:

It’s part 2 that interested me. I thought that the concept of skipping on a treadmill was interesting. So I tried it this morning. It’s ALOT of fun! AND it gets your (at least my) heart rate up! This is a GOOD THING. I took what I saw in her video, and put my own spin on it. Something that you should know about me: I hate cardio. Really. I like to run, and I apparently have discovered that I also enjoy skipping on the treadmill, but normally….really not to terribly excited to put in cardio workouts. So I generally avoid them, which is NOT GOOD. But this, I could do, I think that the skipping will be a good off-day workout for me. I try to run every other day, but I know that I will benefit from doing cardio every day, especially since I’m trying to lose. Here’s what I did (I did stretch before AND after this workout):
WARM UP (3 min.): incline @ 3, speed 3.5, walking
SKIPPING (4 min): incline @ 3.5, speed 3.5, skipping
SIDE SHUFFLE (2 min): incline @ 3, speed 3, sashae on your left side, then your right side (60 seconds each side)
HILL (6 min): incline @ 10, speed 3-3.5, lunge up the treadmill
SKIPPING (3 min): incline @ 3.5, speed 3.5, skipping
COOL DOWN (3 min): inline @ 2, speed 3, walking

haha, if I did that workout at the gym man would I get some weird looks. It’s an interesting idea though! Maybe on a day when the gym isn’t filled with silicone enhanced bottle blondes and their male counterparts…
Thanks for the Youtube tips. I would have never seen those otherwise.
