So, I finally got brave enough to try greek yogurt a few days ago. I wanted to wait to write the review until I had some time to think about my experience. My thoughts are this: I tried greek yogurt because it has lots of protien, low calories and everyone says it’s super thick. Not seeing a downside in the description. Then I tried it…and I like yogurt. Most of the time. I chose to try one of the Oikos yogurts by Stonyfield Farms. It’s organic, which is good. But the good ends there. I chose the honey flavor, ’cause I like honey. On a positive note, the yogurt had no fat. YAY! Now for my take: I opened it up, and it was definitely thicker than even the Yoplait Thick ‘n’ Creamy. Okay…now to try to mix in the honey on the bottom. A little tough, given the thickness of the yogurt, but doable. The yogurt itself was sour and a little bitter…so I was really hoping that the honey would help. It didn’t Now I was eating yogurt that was sour, bitter, and sweet. ICK. I tossed it after only about 5 small bites. Just not my thing. If you like greek yogurt, more power to you. I like it in recipes (check out my black bean dip!!), just not on its own. AND since I’m trying to cut WAAAAY back on dairy, I’m not too sad about this.

I haven’t tried Greek yogurt yet…I’ll let you know if I ever do to compare notes! LOL
Hi, I agree with you about the Oikos brand with honey. I LOVE greek yogurt, but I couldn’t stomach this one. My grocery store recently started carrying another brand – Chobani – which I like much better. The honey flavor is really good if you cut up fresh strawberries to put in.
Good to know! I won’t write it off completely, then
