I just had to gush about my favorite bread. It’s super-delish, VEGAN, ORGANIC, and GOOD FOR YOU!! It has all sorts of sprouted grains, a good amount of protien, and it’s YUMMY!! I could seriously eat an entire loaf. This bread is normally found in the freezer section, and I’ve looked at it for years, but never really tried it until I made the decision to move toward a vegan lifestyle. I’m now completely hooked. Whole wheat breads just don’t cut it anymore. Be warned, it is a little expensive, but I definitely think it’s worth the cost. With a low glycemic index (36), at least for bread, it won’t skyrocket your blood sugar, and the chewy texture satisfies that craving for home baked goodness. My favorite way to have it: tosted with some organic preserves or smushed avocado and tomato on top! Try it…you’ll be hooked.
INGREDIENTS: Organic Sprouted Whole Wheat, Filtered Water, Organic Malted Barley, Organic Sprouted Whole Millet, Organic Sprouted Whole Barley, Organic Sprouted Whole Lentils, Organic Sprouted Whole Soybeans, Organic Sprouted Whole Spelt, Fresh Yeast, Sea Salt. https://www.foodforlife.com/

I’ve been hooked on Ezekiel for about 2 months now. IMO I have to say it doesn’t taste that good to me, in fact, it doesn’t really taste like much of anything, but I eat it because it’s a much better alternative to other breads on the market, and it gets the job done!
I have found that I enjoy it more toasted than raw…but that’s just me. Have you tried using Earth Balance spread on it? It adds a little something extra
Ugh, I keep seeing this bread in people’s blogs and CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!! Ahhhhh!
I’ve wanted to try this bread F O R E V E R! Can’t find it around here in hickville though. =o(
I have, but I will keep checking. I know it’s worth it. =o) I do buy the best bread I can find and one without HF corn syrup. The one I’m eating now I think is called, Healthy Life. It’s fairly new and I can’t remember who makes it. It’s 100% whole grain and has that chewy texture you described.
I’ve had a loaf in my freezer for a few months now, but haven’t gotten up the nerve to try it. Also….I didn’t know if you defrost the whole loaf, or just slices at a time, so I just haven’t touched it. Haha.
LOL! You can leave it in the fridge
It’s super yummy!! I can’t wait to use it tonight for my pizza burgers!! (vegan, of course)
