My aching legs!

Pure BarreI’ve been on a barre workout kick lately, and last time that I did this workout I remember being really put off by it. So I thought I should give it another shot. Yeah, the instructor still is a little heavy, but I noticed this time that her legs aren’t shaking uncontrollably during the workout and she had terrific posture, as well as good cueing. I did get annoyed by her “asking” for a few more sets. I would rather just be told that the torture is almost over, just keep going. This time through, my legs were shaking from what felt like the longest thigh set EVER! It honestly felt like half of the 40 minute workout. I did have to stop a few times to shake out my legs, but then got right back into it. My legs were quite literally VIBRATING with pain and exhaustion. I think I am falling in…dare I say it?…LOVE with this workout. It really made my lower body BURN, kind of like what Tracy Anderson’s Method does for my arms. Maybe I’ll pull her Mat Workout out tomorrow…of maybe the Post Pregnancy Workout…. I guess we’ll wait and see. I really did get an amazing workokut this morning. I cannot wait until my legs don’t shake uncontrollably, though!

On another note, I am loving the changes in my body that I’m seeing with my barre workouts! I have noticed that my size 10 pants all need to go to charity since they won’t stay up anymore, and even my size 8s are getting a bit big in the waist. I’m starting to love my shape, which hasn’t happened in a long, long time.
