The FIRM weighted ball workout


This morning, I pulled out one of my FIRM workouts that has been collecting dust. Okay, honestly the DVD has been collecting dust. I use the weighted ball for situps, chest press, push ups…just about anything that I can think to add a light weight to. The FIRM Power Weighted Ball Workout Kit with Instructional DVD – Pink – 4 lb. – by Gaiam was just as fun as I remembered it being. I will warn you that it’s alot of sports drills, but I can deal with that. It’s the goofy aerobic dancing moves that I can’t stand. If I am in a class, then FINE. But at home? I’d rather RUN for my cardio, thank you. That being said, hubby and I did go for an early morning run (AT 5:15 AM!!), and when we got home, I still had some workout time left, so I popped in The FIRM Power Weighted Ball Workout Kit with Instructional DVD – Pink – 4 lb. – by Gaiam
and got down to it. I actually debated reviewing it, just because it’s so very different from my normal workouts. BUT, different is good. I was drenched in sweat by the end, thanks to all the heart pumping moves. Of course there are the traditional (and expected) FIRM lunges, squats and the like. But with this workout, you’re also doing soccer drills, imbalanced pushups and even some basketball-type drills. It kept my heart rate up, and more importantly it was FUN!! I enjoy doing something different every now and again. This workout definitely qualifies!!
