Thoughts on ‘Vegan Freak’

51phlmm2al_sl160_pisitb-sticker-arrow-bigtopright35-73_ou01_Vegan Freak: Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World is quite possibly one of my all-time favorite reads. Not only is it informational, but it’s just plain fun. The authors, Jenna & Bob Torres are engaging, sensetive and very well informed. Each chapter focuses on the various aspects of veganism: what to do when you’re eating out, how to talk to non-vegans, and even what animal products hide in plain sight (gelatin, glycerin, insinglass….). I actually am hoping that hubby will read Vegan Freak: Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World. I think that it would help him to understand what I’m doing with my life, and possibly encourage him to make some subtle changes in his eating habits. One AMAZING thing that Vegan Freak: Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World has is a list of websites, books and other resources for further research and vegan products. And it’s not just two or three books or sites…it’s quite a few. They even divide it up by category: clothing, cookbooks, research…. I actually discovered quite a few books that I now HAVE TO HAVE, thanks to Bob and Jenna. It’s a great read, vegan or non vegan. They get through the issues with grace, dignity and enough humor to keep it interesting. Read it. (please?)
