What motivates you?
This past week I’ve had to do alot of personal reflection…about what I want, where I’m going and even where I’ve been. I’ve found that I have a renewed sense of motivation to get even healthier. Why? I think that it’s partially because I have realized that I reached this point in life quite by accident. Happy accident, sure, but accident nonetheless. That being said, when I really decided to get healthy, I think that it was for the wrong reasons. And now that those reasons aren’t around anymore, I was basically forced to
find new motivation. What I found was that I got a point where I was comfortable…while not a bad thing, definitely not a great thing. I had resigned myself to being stuck. Amazingly, this last year has shown me that my version of stuck involves more mind issues than physical ones. Knowing that is a blessing and a curse…I have found that my body is capable of great things…like RUNNING. I have also found that my brain doesn’t like to be pushed to do those things. So it’s a constant struggle between what I KNOW I can do and what I WANT to do. I think that the capabilities are winning. I am motivated now to be stronger, faster and healthier. I am also excited to bring to light how great living a vegan life is. I hope that I can lead by example. I hope that I am leading by example. I guess it all boils down to wanting to be the best “me” that I can be!
So, my loyal readers (THANK YOU!)…what motivates you?

Awww you are so inspiring! Hmmm…motivation. I’ll have to get back to you. I’m having a rough day.

What motivates me? YOU do! Haha. And all the great people on Spark People. I also am motivated by myself–when I feel my muscles growing stronger, I fit into a pants size I’ve never really been in during my adult life, and the accomplishments that I can achieve like running the 10k. I also got “comfortable” and gave up losing weight because “nothing worked.” But this time I tried it the right way–diet and exercise, and with my F11 my scale has been going down! WOO HOO!
