Running in the rain

This morning Ish and I woke up to go running…and then we couldn’t find the house keys. So we searched high and low…I got the laundry changed over and then they turned up…right as it started to rain. It was more of a sprinkle, so we figured that a 30 minute jog wouldn’t hurt too much…and then we got going…and it started raining harder. By the time images-1we turned around, it was POURING, and we were cracking up. It’s hard to run and laugh at the same time, but somehow we managed. I think that using my Gymboss GB2009 HOT PINK SOFTCOAT helped. I had the timer set so that we would run for 3 minutes and then walk for 1. I’ve been using it for the last week as part of my 1/2 marathon training, and LOVE it!! I will actually be holding a contest later this month to give away a FREE Gymboss timer!! I was reading up on the suggested uses, and it has quite a few…timing reps for kettlebells or weightlifting, sprints, pace training…there’s so much I can do with it! I can’t wait to use it again tomorrow…provided that this thunderstorm passes!

How cool – running in the rain! We’ll be doing that tomorrow morning if this continues :) My nephew is running w/ me now and I love it! It’s MUCH cooler at 4:45am outside than on my treadmill, I think! LOL Love the timer idea – will have to look into that one :) You are so AWESOME!!!

sounds blissful! i love my gymboss, i have had it forever, i used it initially for jump rope intervals, 3 minutes on, 1 minute rest. (not easy!!) but its definitely come in handy for half marathon training, i use intervals on my long runs… 12 minutes running, 2 minutes walking. hope you are doing well!!

I have that GymBoss interval timer. It’s great!!

I haven’t run in the rain..yet. But I hear it’s quite an experience! :)
