9 minute miles

I had the best run this morning! I used my Gymboss GB2009 SILVER to run intervals with Ish. AND I ended up running 9 minute miles!! How amazing is that?! I have been running 10 minute miles on my best days…and at my race pace, but I 4198moydml_sl160_don’t think I’ve ever, ever run a 9 minute mile!! I was absolutely SHOCKED! And thrilled…which I hope is obvious by my need to brag a little bit. I was planning on doing a Pure Barre workout today, as well, but found that when we got home, my quads were still very, very sore from my workout yesterday…so I’m taking the day off from barre work. I’ll be back at Pure Barre tomorrow and probably be sore all weekend, but that’s alright. I did get some really great stretching in after my run, though. I have Yoga For Beginners, so I decided to give it a try. Now, I’m not ususally one to enjoy yoga, but this workout wasn’t terrible. I probably got most of the poses wrong, but I did have a good time, and my muscles were very thankful. The poses were well explained, and the movements were slow enough that I could keep up…of course a mirror might have helped!! I can’t wait to get back to my barre workouts…OR for my race (5K) next weekend! SO excited about that!

  1. That’s GREAT! I’m sure I’ll be in pain tomorrow from the Squeeze lower body challenge this morning. Maybe that will help me w/ my 3 mile run tomorrow! :)
