It came as a shock to me, but the 1/2 marathon SOLD OUT in less than 24 hours. Sign ups started on Friday at midnight, and by 4:00 when Ish and I signed up, there were already over 11,000 people signed up! That’s unreal to me. While I am incredibly happy to have our spots guaranteed, my friend Lisa does not have a spot…which makes me really sad, since she’s the reason that I signed up in the first place. She’s come SUCH a long way with her running!! She finished a 10K AND ran another 5K this month. I wanted to help her out, and found out that she has a fundraising page! Lisa needs to raise $250.00 for the Cancer Society in order to run in the 1/2 marathon in January.
