I always listen to my body. If it says it's hungry and wants pretzels then I have a serving of pretzels. Otherwise I just munch endlessly. It's hard to know real hunger from boredom or emotional hunger when we've been programmed growing up to eat whenever.

I have found doing Tracy's plan, that no---I fill up on more nutritious food with smaller portions, BUT I can get hungry more frequently.

I also think that digging into a bag of munchies like that is just, theraputic sometimes. It's comfort food and feels good to do, even though your body doesn't really need it.

As soon as I get home from the store I spend about 45 minutes (sometimes it's really a drag) just cutting up fruits and veggies and storing them in the fridge. Then the whole week I can just open, grab and eat. I don't have to eat, and my mindless/bored eating is on strawberries or cantaloupe....not salty snacks.

And I've basically wiped out my blood sugar roller coaster eating more frequent/smaller more nutritous meals....which makes me (for the most part) want to stick to this....and my hubby too!
