I fell and it hurt.
This morning’s run started out like any other run. Ish and I ran our 3-miler, and the run was going really well. I was timing our intervals with my Gymboss GB2009 SILVER, and we were running 3:1 fartleks…then it happened. Ish was showing me how to run to take the stress off my quadriceps (they were hurting), and I must not have picked my foot up, because the next thing I knew I was flying toward the pavement…thankfully there was a patch of grass that caught my head, but my hands and knees are pretty badly scraped up. I’m extremely irritated about this, because I had planned to come home and do a barre workout, but the only thing that I can do at the moment is sit here and hope that my knee stops hurting. I am extremely frustrated, because I was hoping to increase my training this week, and now it looks like I’ve pushed myself back because I wasn’t paying attention. I know that I’ll be able to do a modified barre workout later today…minus the push ups and tricep dips. Did I mention that I get to start my new job tomorrow? That’s a huge frustration, since I’ll show up with huge cuts on my hands and bruises on my knees. Great first impression, I guess. I just hope that I will be able to run later this week…hopefully by Tuesday. I really cannot afford to let my training slide…especially since the 1/2 marathon is less than six months away now! I am so excited, but so very frustrated… Okay, time for a me to put on my big girl panties and push through. I’m determined to not let this slow me down. I’ll just have to go a little easy on myself for a few days, right?

Oh my gosh Brea! I’m so glad you didn’t hit your head. I hope you heal fast and can get back at it 100%
I am so sorry about your fall!! Like Allyson, I’m glad it wasn’t any worse than it could have been!!! I know you’ll come through this like the trooper that you really are
Good luck w/ the new JOB!
You’ll be back at it before you know it
*hugs*
