i happen to manage with 6-8 hours of sleep... wish i could take naps at work though!

as for the workouts... i have worked out off and on during the first trimester due to being so tired all the time and having nasty colds and the weather being so dang cold... i would manage some strength training here and there and yoga class once a week...

i have still been running, much slower and only about 2-3 miles per workout, maybe 2 or 3 times per week, i do a full body strength routine 3x per week and yoga class 1x per week... in addition to cardio on the elliptical on days i don't run... i know it sounds crazy eh? this is what i try to do each week, i don't stick to it every time, but its what i shoot for... fortunately for me i am alloted an hour per day during duty hours to work out and we have decent gym facilities on base and a walking/running trail... i am so grateful for that! if i didn't have that i think i would try to squeeze my workouts in the mornings or at least go for a post dinner stroll, every little bit helps to keep pregnancy weight gain in check, help you feel better, help you handle labor/delivery easier, and recovery postpartum much faster!!

so do what you can! every little bit helps!! and don't obsess when you don't get a workout in! heck 10-15 minutes of calisthenics/stretches is better than nothing!

i am rooting for ya chicka! i know you will do great and be a fantabulous momma!!

Thank you all! I really don't care as long as the baby is healthy! Ish wants a BOY...but I think that is just because he is scared of being a pushover!

Kia-thanks for the recommendation! What are you having?

Hey Brea, hope you are feeling well. Here is an on-the-go snack list from pregnancy.org with all kinds of ideas that you can modify for your diet.

http://www.pregnancy.org/article/eating-go-snack-ideas

I personally love almonds, pecans, and dried cherries or raw yogurt w/ cinnamon

With all these girl/boy polls I just vote with whatever the mom wants. Do have a preference at this point? We accidentally found out last week during the anatomy screen. We didn't want to know but I was paying way too much attention during the 250 measurements that were taken during the exam. What can I say, I know anatomy. Good luck and I wish you and babe health and harmony as the two of you work together.

Oh and if you plan on breastfeeding there is a brilliant breastfeeding cafe that recently started up on twitter with some great lactivist. Follow @zealandsmom or go to her website for details.

Let me see...snacks....I like multigrain cheerios because I can eat and much on a cup of them for 110 calories. I also love fruit for snacks! I enjoy fresh pineapple mixed with strawberries and I cut the fruit up as soon as I get home from the store so I can grab and go later.

I think you're having a BOY! I don't know why, but that's my guess. It's a 50/50 shot! Hehe!
