Over the last couple of years, I’ve moved from a writing a blog just for fun to really monetizing and focusing on my blog like a business. I’ll be honest – I had NO IDEA how to do this in the beginning.
So, I started reading, watching tons of webinars, searching out bloggers who were doing it well, and basically gleaning as much information as I possibly could.
My Biggest Lesson
One thing I quickly learned was that I was grossly underestimating how Pinterest could grow traffic and create true followers to my blog – not just people who pop in for one post, never to return. I honestly thought I could just build it and people would come (please tell me you get the reference!).
Let me tell y’all my revelation…PINTEREST IS HUGE! If you want to find blogging success, you need to use Pinterest to simplify (and amplify) your growth.
One of my favorite tools I used in growing my blog through Pinterest was working through the Pinfinite Growth Course.
Before I tell you all about the amazing stuff this course will teach you, I want to show you something. This, my friends, is the growth my Pinterest Analytics shows:
I’m just going to assume you’ve looked at a chart before and can tell about when I took this course and really started focusing on Pinterest as a growth tool, rather than a place to put pretty things (HINT: it was in August of 2015).
I feel like at this point I could just Mic Drop and walk out…but I’ll let you in on some of the awesomeness of this course instead!
Pinfinite Growth: The Good
Before even looking at Pinterest, the course starts by helping you hone in on the focus of your blog. Gone are the days of blogging about your kids, then a trip, that secret family recipe, a political rant, followed by an awesome new outfit you put together.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with blogging about any of those things! But if you’re ready to make money blogging, it’s time to narrow down your focus. This course will help you do it.
In addition to figuring out the focus of your blog, you’ll work to determine your audience. From there, you’ll learn how to create killer content that your blog audience will be excited to read. And the more you create content your audience wants, the more they will share your blog with their friends. Win win!
Next the course focuses on the basics of Pinterest. Before we even start pinning awesome stuff, you’ll work on creating a stand-out profile that engages your audience.
And boards – the key component of Pinterest! You’ll decide how to streamline the boards you have available, keeping with the focus of your blog content.
Once you’re all set up, Pinfinite Growth will teach you how to create brand consistency and how to design beautiful Pins that people want to save and share with their friends! They walk you through this step-by-step – no need to be a design major or super technologically savvy.
Next up, it’s time to really start growing your audience. You’ll learn how to use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) through key words, bringing you more hits, clicks, and followers as people search Pinterest for terms that you focus on. You’ll also learn how to use group boards to bring even more traffic in as you collaborate with other bloggers.
To further grow your audience you’ll learn how to schedule and loop Pins, which takes tons of work off of you! And with the lessons on how to understand and use what you learn from Pinterest Analytics, you’ll be set to continue seeing your growth skyrocket!
I wish I would have figured out the whole Pinterest game earlier in my blogging venture. Imagine where my business would be now! But I’m happy I can share this with you now, so you can have the opportunity to see amazing results in no time!
Pinfinite Growth is available with awesome BONUSES until September 20th!
