That is the word I would use to describe my state of mind right now.
I feel spread so thin and my house is in shambles. I know I just moved into my new house Friday but as a person who’s an organizer and doesn’t do messes, you could only imagine how I’m handling all of this.
Ensuring a Happy State of Mind
If y’all haven’t realized, I’m a doer and I try to do EVERYTHING myself. I can’t help it; it’s just who I am. But, since I decided to turn my way of living into a positive one, I’ve realized I must adapt a couple of things I need to ensure a happy state of mind.
- There are only so many things I can do at once. It’s OKAY if I don’t get to it. I tried my best and there’s always tomorrow. Sit on the couch and snuggle with your babies.
- Life is messy. No matter how hard I try and stress myself out, there are messes you can never avoid. Enjoy the experience and revel in the feeling. I feel this is especially towards moms with boys! #TeamAllBoys
- Allowing yourself to get overwhelmed is NOT okay. This is the hardest for me. I’m still figuring this one out. I know it’s not okay and I’m working on it. I’ll let you know when I figure it out.
What I’m Doing to Help Myself
Something else that has been tremendously helping me is reading.
This week I bought the Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle 2017 and I am TOTALLY in love! It has so many resources, such as E-books and E-courses, for everything and anything I could be feeling or going through.
The section I’ve been focusing on this week is Wellness and Lifestyle. I’ve recently been reading an E-Book that came with my bundle called “Energetic Mama: Become a Better Mum by Becoming a Healthier You!” by Jessica Donovan. The first sentence on her about me page just spoke to me, “Let me tell you something that might surprise you…I don’t believe in perfection!”
We have plenty in common too!
She’s a foodie. Do I really need to tell y’all?
She enjoys a glass of wine. Ooh! Red or white?
She LOVES Dark chocolate. Dutch dark chocolate all the way!
She talks about how the journey to a healthier you can be overwhelming (the first word at the beginning of my post!) and it IS possible to be healthy and still enjoy the one life you’ve been given.
I’m telling y’all.
This book is for me and maybe it can be for you too!
