Spring Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes

Spring has sprung! Well, to be honest, it’s felt like spring here in Texas for a while now. It’s the blessing (and the curse) of living in the south.

And while I love to spend this time of year decluttering, deep cleaning, and freshening the house, I think I actually get more excited to switch my diffuser over to fresher, more spring-y scents.

And to be honest, we’re just too busy right now for me to do a major purge and scrub right now. We’ll probably end up doing a summer or fall clean instead.

So instead of focusing on which cleaning job I need to do next, I’ve been spending a lot of time playing with my diffuser.

Spring Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes

I love that it just takes a couple minutes to add a few oils to my diffuser. Changing over to more “Spring” themed scents has changed the whole feeling of my home.

Spring Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes

Since y’all seemed to love my Fall and Winter diffuser recipes, I thought I ought to bring you my favorite spring diffuser recipes as well.

Citrus Squeeze

This combination is a refreshing, clean scent that helps awaken and motivate.

Add 2 drops each orange, lime, lemon, & grapefruit to your diffuser.

Refresher

This combination is perfect to invigorate your senses and increase mental alertness.

Add 3 drops orange and 3 drops peppermint to your diffuser when you’re feeling foggy.

Sweet Spring

This one may be my favorite combination. We’ve been diffusing it upstairs daily because it’s fresh, uplifting, and clean.

Just put 3 drops grapefruit, 3 drops lavender, 2 drops lemon, and 2 drops spearmint to your diffuser.

Spring Breeze

This trifecta of oils is amazing. It’s fresh, clean, and will make your house smell like heaven.

Add 3 drops lavender, 3 drops lemon, and 3 drops peppermint to your diffuser.

Happy Days

This combination is awesome when you’re having a bad day. It always makes me feel better and helps improve my outlook.

Simply combine 2 drops Valor, 2 drops Joy, and 2 drops orange in your diffuser.

Freshly Picked

I honestly can’t justify buying cut flowers, but I can still enjoy their scent without spending the money thanks to this little combination.

Use 2 drops lavender, 2 drops ylang ylang, 1 drop geranium, and 1 drop rose to fill your house with a floral bouquet.

Spring Rain

I never believed that rain had a smell until I moved to Texas.

To mimic the fresh ‘just rained’ smell, add 4 drops lemon and 2 drops vetiver to your diffuser.

Spring Break

This relaxing and uplifting blend will get you in the right mindset for a vacation.

Combine 4 drops Stress Away and 4 drops Citrus Fresh in your diffuser.

I recommend that you use an ultrasonic diffuser to get the full benefits of the oils.

Natural Spring Cleaning Hacks

And, if you have time to do some Spring cleaning, I’ve got some of my favorite natural cleaning recipes for you to use. I know that I said I wasn’t doing spring cleaning, but that’s not entirely true. I’m actually kind of, sort of working on it in small chunks.

What I mean is that I’m cleaning my counters,

All-Purpose Spray

  • 1 cup water
  • 8 drops Thieves essential oil
  • 1 teaspoon liquid Castille soap
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Combine all of the ingredients in a glass spray bottle.  To clean just about any surface (hard surfaces only, please), spray and wipe the mess up.

Carpet Refresher

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 8 drops Purification essential oil

Combine the baking soda and essential oil in a shaker and gently sprinkle over carpets. Allow the mix to sit on your carpets for about 15 minutes to neutralize odors and then vacuum it up.

Linen & Room Spray

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup witch hazel
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

Combine the water, witch hazel and lavender in a glass spray bottle and use it to freshen soft surfaces, or simply to freshen the funk in your room.
