I survived my first 7 days of the Whole30! I feel like I should get a prize…but my usual celebration is a cookie, which is most definitely out. So…I grabbed a new pair of yoga pants. A mom can never have too many yoga pants, right?
Whole30 Day 1
Breakfast: Bacon and egg cupcakes with cantaloupe and blueberries
Lunch: Chicken salad
Dinner: Uova in Purgatoria from Nom Nom Paleo with steamed green beans
I felt AWESOME today. Lots of energy, and really delicious food. The eggs in Purgatory? AMAZING. Worth buying the cookbook for.
Whole30 Day 2

Dinner: Uova in Purgatoria from Nom Nom Paleo with steamed broccoli
I woke up with a KILLER headache, and spent the day slathering my head in peppermint essential oil. I don’t recommend it. In the afternoon, my joints started aching, and I noticed that I was extremely bloated. UGH.
Whole30 Day 3
Breakfast: Bacon and egg cupcakes with watermelon
Lunch: Sautéed brussels sprouts with ground pork
Dinner: Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili from Make-Ahead Paleo
Holy heck, y’all. I felt like I’d been hit by a bus today. EVERY.SINGLE.JOINT. aches. I feel like baked Hell. I took a nap with the boys two times today. I think I’d rather have the flu.
Whole30 Day 4
Breakfast: Mushroom and onion 2-egg omelette with mixed berries
Lunch: Sautéed brussels sprouts with ground pork
Dinner: Omelette cups with bacon, asparagus, and mushrooms with steamed broccoli
Today was better! I didn’t have a ton of energy, and my joints were mildly achy, but nothing like yesterday.
Whole30 Day 5
Breakfast: 2 minute scrambled eggs
Lunch: Tuna salad
Dinner: Angus beef burger with lettuce, tomato, and mustard (we were at the zoo)
I felt amazing today! It was such a relief after being so achy. I even got in a good workout!
Whole30 Day 6
Breakfast: Hard boiled egg
Lunch: Chicken antipasto salad from Make-Ahead Paleo
Dinner: Pesto spaghetti squash with meatballs and steamed broccoli
I really, really, really want a pan of brownies. I may have sniffed the neighbor’s bake sale…
Whole30 Day 7
Breakfast: 2 minute scrambled eggs
Lunch: Pesto spaghetti squash with meatballs and steamed green beans
Dinner: Meatloaf mini-muffins from Against All Grain
Today was a great day! I went on a walk, played with the boys, and got in some yoga.
Now on to week 2!
