Y’all know I love my essential oils. I’ve been using the best essential oil diffusers for four years now, and I can only think of a handful of days I’ve gone without them. I grab them when we’re feeling under the weather or sore or stressed, and I keep a small collection in my purse. You should see how many I have at this point…it’s getting close to 300. And I’m not a bit ashamed of that number!
The Best Essential Oil Diffusers
One of my favorite ways I use oils is in a diffuser. Actually, in one of my MANY diffusers. Diffusing is probably the “gateway drug” of the essential oil world.
For those who haven’t yet jumped on the essential oil train, let me give you a run down. A diffuser is a little machine you fill with water and a few drops of essential oils. It has an ultrasonic plate that vibrates to release a blend of the water and essential oils into the air.
This allows you to get the aromatherapeutic benefits of the oils without having to worry about any dilution or skin reactions (which isn’t a big deal but can be intimidating for new users).
I have a diffuser in almost every room of my house. Some of them have cost a pretty penny, but most of them were purchased quite inexpensively. I’ll share a few of my favorites with you.
For the Large Room
This Apalus Glass Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser covers 1,000 square feet when it’s running. For homes with an open floor plan, this diffuser will keep you from having to run multiple diffusers in your main living area. It’s moderately priced too – just $50 at the time this article was written.
For the Bedroom
In both my boys’ room, I run this Innogear Diffuser. It can either run in continuous mode or intermittent mode, switching off and on every 30 seconds. It’s super quiet so the change from off to on doesn’t bother them a bit. Plus, it has seven colors of light built in that we use as a night light. And at only about $15, if one of my little monkeys decide to mess with it, I don’t have to worry about them breaking a major investment.
For Travel
With summer here, more people find themselves traveling. And once you’ve gotten used to sleeping with a diffuser running an awesome blend of sleepytime oils, it’s pretty hard to give that up on vacation.
This Mini Diffuser is small enough to be easily packable, plus uses multiple power sources for greater flexibility on the go.
For the Car
If you’re taking a road trip this summer, you may want to think about purchasing a car diffuser. This Car Diffuser that’s USB powered. A little Peace and Calming can help everyone’s moods when you’re trapped for hours on end.
I haven’t used this one yet, but I think filling it up with Thieves and Purification might cut down on the germs brought home from school too!
My Favorite Diffuser
I personally prefer the Dew Drop Diffuser, just because I think it looks pretty .
