Hiking is another awesome workout option when you’re not wanting to run. You can easily find some simple terrain to stop and take a hike at.

The true beauty of hiking is that you really do see some true beauty. There are hills and mountains that once you arrive at the top, will literally take your breath away.

Hiking is also one of those workouts that you can do alone or bring along 50 of your closest friends. You can even pack a tent and find a spot to stay overnight!


Swimming is a great workout option if you happen to have a pool nearby that you can swim at. If not, do what you can to find one.

Check the local gyms, schools, or even talk to your family and friends and see if they know a place that you can go swimming.

People who swim a lot say it’s a great way to burn a lot of calories without putting a ton of impact on your body. Many people like the relaxing feel of the water as well.
