Metamorphosis by Tracy + A Protein Shake Recipe

tracy anderson metamorphosisSo. Last night, I decided to start Metamorphosis again.

Again, again.

I know, I know.

Let’s get past this, shall we?

So. I have been using my elliptical (YAY ME!) in the mornings for 20-30 minutes, and I decided that (seeing how it’s a new year and all), I should probably do something about the squish.

You ALL know what I’m talking about girls. So I pulled out my very-much-neglected case of Tracy Anderson‘s Metamorphosis workouts. And I started over.

It was FABULOUS.

Until I kinked my neck. That part sucked.

And guess what? It’s STILL kinked. Woo-freakin’-hoo. I have been doing my best ballerina imitation (it’s been so long that I was pretty sure I’d forgotten how!), but I still can’t turn my head. SUCKS.

Tonight I’ll remember to do my muscular structure work while looking AT THE MAT, not the TV. And I made my own playlist:

Moving on. So, seeing as how I’m in a LOT of pain, and I still need to eat heathy, we’re all having smoothies and such today (thanks, Vitamix!), since it doesn’t require standing over a hot stove or turning too much.

Why should you care? Well, you should.

Because I discovered the MOST delicious concoction. Seriously yummy.

And I am in a sharing mood! Isn’t that lucky?

My Protein Shake Recipe

  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (I’m currently in LOVE with THIS powder)
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate PB2
  • 10 oz cooled coffee
  • 4-5 coffee ice cubes (just freeze the dregs once they’ve cooled)

Toss everything in your blender (I love my Vitamix), and pulse until smooth.

This shake is SUPER yummy. Kind of like a coffee peanut butter cup, but with WAY less calories, and a LOT more protein. I call it a win-win…and now I just want to lick my glass….

What’s your favorite protein shake recipe?

Sorry to hear about the neck but I totally know what you mean. I actually like using my small laptop when I would do TA so I wouldn’t have to keep checking what she was doing. You could also put a small mirror or something that will help you see what she is doing.

I’m going to have to try your recipe! It sounds relish!!!
