A Spring Cleaning Checklist Just For You!

My Spring Cleaning Checklist {+ My Dirty Little Secret}

A Spring Cleaning Checklist Just For You!

March 29, 2016 //  by Brea//  35 Comments

I love Spring, don’t you? I love the fresh air, the buds on the trees…starting my garden…. I do not love spring cleaning. At all. In fact, I dread it.

But, because I’m an adult, I understand that it’s necessary. So. I created a special Spring Cleaning Checklist so that I could feel like I was getting closer and closer to being done. Because being all done with spring cleaning is thebestfeelingever.

[fancy_box id=2]Want to print my list?[content_upgrade id=10134]Click here.[/content_upgrade][/fancy_box]

So this year, I decided to see if I could make Spring Cleaning a bit easier-I printed out my checklist and got to work with just a few tools:

  1. My Magic Eraser
  2. Microfiber cloths

Because who has time for scrubbing? I have better things that I would like to do with my biceps-like pick up my kids or lift weights at the gym. I don’t want to wimp out because I used my muscles to clean. SO. Now that I’ve shared my dirty little secret…

I live with BOYS. Boys are messy (in case you didn’t know). Which means I need some extra elbow grease. Because (I’m embarrassed to admit this), there’s messes everywhere.

Want some of my best tips?

A Spring Cleaning Checklist Just For You!

Remember, because of Smalls, I have to keep things super clean (or try, anyway). I love my Magic Erasers. LOVE.THEM. They make cleaning so much faster.

Spring Cleaning Your Kitchen

Smalls is learning how to cook…which means the kitchen is burnt. I take my Magic Eraser and go to town. I can get the burnt off of everything, including my drip pans, oven, and even the microwave (don’t ask).

[fancy_box id=2]It’s easier with a cute Checklist![content_upgrade id=10134]Download mine here.[/content_upgrade] You’re welcome.[/fancy_box]

Spring Cleaning Your Bathroom

When you clean your bathrooms, use Magic Eraser to power through hard water build-up and soap scum on sinks, tubs, toilets and glass shower doors.

It also does a great job of scrubbing out stains from that paint soap stuff that the manufacturer claimed was “washable”….

Feel free to spend the extra time relaxing in a bubble bath…just make sure the boys are sleeping first!

Spring Cleaning: Outdoor Tip

I live in the South. I love it down here. but it’s humid. I love humidity…except when it creates more work for me.

My front door always ends up with mildew no matter what I do. And it’s a pain to scrub that stuff off. Plus. It’s messy. I don’t like messy.

The worst part about spring cleaning is that so many small things have piled up over the winter.

My least favorite spring cleaning job is washing all of my walls. After a long winter with very little fresh air coming into the house I feel like I have to clean the walls or the house would still feel dirty.

I don’t mind it so much, I just find it overwhelming. Right now I’m in the season of life with little kids and it just seems like I can’t get to it all. I hate the “getting rid of stuff” because I find it the most challenging part.

Gotta love Mr. Clean! Those magic erasers saved my bacon when my 4 year old knocked over green Easter egg dye on my in-laws countertops. It wasn’t coming up for anything. Until I used that truly magic eraser!
