Are you ready to stop being tired all the time and want to wake up rested instead?
How many mornings do you wake up and realize that you’re still not feeling as though you’re rested enough to get out of bed? If this is your “norm”, what you’re doing just isn’t working for you.
The truth of the matter is that if you’re looking for simple ways to wake up rested, there are things that you can do! Check out these easy tips to get out of bed feeling as though you actually got a good night’s rest!
Simple Ways To Wake Up Rested
When it comes to getting a good night’s sleep and then waking up rested, it doesn’t have to be an overly hard concept. With a few simple tips and steps, you can rest easy at night knowing that you’re going to feel like a new person in the morning once you wake up.
Stay hydrated throughout the day
Drinking water really is key to helping your body feel nice and relaxed. If you’re lacking water then there is a good chance that your body might have trouble with muscle cramps or other joints hurting as well.
It’s recommended that drinking 8 cups of water a day is key and if you’re working out in the hot sun, you might actually need more than that.
Keep a water jug with you throughout the day so that you can take sips as you need it.
Turn off the electronics at night
Did you know that the glow of the screen has been shown to actually keep you awake in your mind a lot longer than if you’d just shut it off? This is because the light doesn’t allow your brain to fully shut down because it’s being stimulated.
When you’re laying in bed at night, put the screen away so that you can fully rest and relax. That TV show will still be waiting for you the next day for you to watch and enjoy.
Leave your phone outside the bedroom
We’re all in such a habit of constantly being on our phones and that makes it super hard to rest. Instead of bringing your phone with you into the bedroom, leave it sitting outside of your room instead.
This will allow you to now feel as though you don’t have to mess with it or check it every 5 minutes and you won’t be interrupted by all the pings and chimes from messages, either.
Go to bed at an earlier time
This might be the most obvious thing to do to get more rested but going to bed earlier just might be the simple answer.
Even if you consider yourself a night owl, give yourself a break, and shut your eyes sooner. You’ll be amazed at how even just 30 more minutes of rest might be just what you need to get a good night’s sleep without worry.
Don’t snack before bedtime
Depending on what you eat, you might get an upset stomach or weird yet, give yourself some crazy nightmares and thoughts that just don’t let your rest well.
Limit what you’re eating before bedtime so you don’t have to deal with that worry.
While these might seem like super small changes to make to your daily nighttime routine, you’re going to be amazed at how quickly they really do work.
And if what you’re doing now doesn’t work, that’s proof enough that you do need a change. Start by trying one or two of these simple tips to wake up rested and see what you think.
Who knows – you just might feel more rested than you’ve felt in a very long time!
