You’re Having Trouble Sleeping.

When you’re feeling stressed, it can be impossible to quiet your mind and get some rest.

If you find yourself lying awake at night, tossing and turning, stress may be to blame.

Try to address the cause of your stress or find ways to cope so you can at least get a good night’s sleep – otherwise, you’ll find yourself in an even worse position to manage your stress the following day, when you wake up exhausted.

You Have Less Patience.

Notice yourself getting short with friends and family more often than usual?

It may be time to step back and evaluate your stress levels. When you’re under a lot of pressure, it can be easy to take it out on the people around you.

Don’t run the risk of damaging your relationships with your loved ones. Instead, find a way to reduce your stress levels ASAP.

Your Appetite Changes Dramatically.

A big shift in your appetite can be an indicator that you’re under too much stress.

Some people may experience an increase in appetite and find themselves insatiably hungry.

Others can lose their appetite entirely and struggle to find the motivation to finish a meal.

You’re Constantly Sick.

When you’re stressed out and run-down, your immune system takes a serious toll, leaving you more susceptible than usual to the germs you encounter.

If you’ve got a cold that you just can’t shake, or you notice you’re getting sick more frequently, you may be able to attribute that to stress.

Finding healthy ways to cope with the things that are weighing you down will not only help your mental health but your physical health, too.

You Can’t Concentrate.

Having trouble focusing can be a big red flag that you’re under too much stress.
