So. You know when you’ve been making your own face wash for months and then run out, grab something organic from the grocery store because you’re lazy and then break out?
What’s In Your Skin Care Products?
That’s because even organic skincare products can cause problems. In fact, there is no regulating body for the “organic” and “natural” labelling when it comes to self-care products…which means that even “organic” products contain toxins that are then absorbed and processed into your body through your epidermis.
YUCK.
While this may not seem like a big deal, it is. Many organic and natural products contain synthetic ingredients, and those are exactly the kinds of ingredients they proclaim they don’t include! source

So that happened to me this week. I’ve been working really, really hard to clear my skin after finally accepting that I have Dermatillomania. And I am so, so frustrated that my skin is bumpy, broken, and red again. And sure, I could mix up my own recipe again, but I’m {embarrassingly} out of my organic Dr. Bronners. And so is Target.
Womp, womp.
But. I remembered that I had tried (and loved) my Primal Life Organics Bare™ Face Wash before our move. And I was pretty sure that I still had a little bit left in my bottle. And then I had a panic attack-what if I’d gotten rid of it in my tidying?!
Thankfully, I hadn’t, and I located my nearly empty bottle. I have never been more excited! I immediately diluted a small amount and started washing my face.
Oh my word. Y’all. My face felt so good! I had forgotten how gentle this wash is! It doesn’t strip the natural oils, and more importantly for me, it doesn’t contain ingredients that I’m working hard to avoid.
…Like Gluten
Did you know that many skin care and even hair care products can contain gluten? While I do not have Celiac’s, my body still gets horribly inflamed and I can tell when I’ve consumed even small amounts of gluten. So I’d rather avoid it.
Thankfully, not a single product made by Primal Life Organics contains gluten. Whew! Also, the face wash has ingredients that I can pronounce and a small bottle lasts for at least 2 months.

Because it’s highly concentrated, I also know that I’m paying for the actual quality product-not water like many out there.
Where was I going with this…
Oh! So. I switched over to using the Bare Face Wash and you know what? My breakouts stopped. Completely. And my skin looked better the next day, and it’s just kept improving. I still have a few spots that are healing, but y’all. This is SUCH an improvement over where I was!
I actually am scared to stop using it, which is why I just ordered more. I do not want to be without! Plus, Trina mixes each bottle as it’s ordered. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Have you tried PLO?
