How to make BBQ Grilled Homemade Trail Mix
Gather up all the ingredients listed below and let’s get started!
Ingredients needed for homemade trail mix:
- 3 cups of mixed nuts (nuts of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter, chopped up in small pieces
- 2 tablespoons chopped dates
- 1 tablespoon of BBQ seasoning
of your choice
- aluminum foil
Directions to make BBQ Grilled Trail Mix:
Start by getting your BBQ grill hot and brought up to temperature. The temperature will vary so this recipe will require for you to keep an eye on the nuts.
Tear off three pieces of aluminum foil and place on top of each other.
In the middle of the pile of foil, add on your nuts, your butter, and the bbq seasoning of your choice. (Spread the seasoning out a little bit so it’s covering up the nuts)
Wrap up the foil and the nut mixture so it looks like a ball. Make certain it’s sealed tightly then place on the BBQ grill to begin cooking.
Have it cook for about 5 minutes, then using a hot pad, carefully roll it over and have it roast on the other side.
The length of time that it’s going to cook will vary due to heat temperatures, but it’s a good idea to pull off the grill after about 10-12 minutes of cooking and see how it looks.
You can literally cook these nuts for as long as little as you’d want since they’re already cooked anyway.
If after pulling the nuts off the grill you feel that they’re cooked thoroughly and seasoned accordingly. let them cool slightly before adding in the chopped dates.
Once added, serve and enjoy!
See how simple this recipe is? It’s literally just as easy as that!!!!
