The Best Oven Baked Ribs
But truth be told, I love eating ribs because they’re pretty darn simple to make. And if you’re living the low carb lifestyle, oven baked ribs can fit it perfectly with your eating habits.
Many people tend to think of ribs as a “summer” food that only happens at BBQs….but in our house, they happen all year long.
Don’t get me wrong, I love ribs on the grill but if given the chance to make them in the oven during the winter? I’m 100% game.

How to make oven baked ribs

Oven-Baked Ribs
Ingredients
- 1 rack of ribs
- 1/4 cup seasoning
- aluminum foil
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the ribs 24 hrs before cooking and placing uncovered in the fridge.
- After the 24 hour period has passed, take the ribs out of the fridge and place the rack of ribs meat side down on a raised rack, with aluminum foil underneath. (Trust me, you'll thank me later for that)
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
- Take and put the rack of ribs in the oven. Cook them for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until ribs are tender to the touch. They should also have started pulling back from the bone.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and turn them upside down with the meat side up. Keep them on the baking rack with the pan underneath still.
- Turn the oven up to 375 degrees.
- Once the oven temp is reached, place pan with ribs towards the top of the oven. ( use an oven mitt and put the pan on the highest rack)
- Cook for 15 minutes. If you're using bbq sauce (choose one of your choice!) start basting and using a brush every 10 to 15 minutes till ribs reach an internal temperature of 195 degrees. (use your meat thermometer, they need to be cooked all the way!)
