7 Days of My Whole30: Week 4, The Final Week!

It’s the last week of my Whole30 challenge! This week was odd, in that we all ended up sick. It was not fun. As such, I went off plan a bit because my throat was on fire. Gotta love not being able to swallow. At.All.

Here is a break down of my whole30 week 4, the final week to my Whole30 diet. Let me share what I ate, and any updates on the week. This week was tough because I was sick. So it affected how I felt for sure.

Here is How My Whole30 Week 4 Played Out

#bgfWhole30day22

Whole30 Day 22

Breakfast: Strawberry Fruit & Juice popsicle

Lunch: Watermelon

Dinner: Smoothie King-no turbinado, dairy, or soy

I felt like death today. That is all.

#bgfWhole30day23

Whole30 Day 23

Breakfast: Bacon and egg frittatas with watermelon

Lunch: Bangers from Whole30 and steamed green beans

Dinner: Eggs in Purgatory from Nom Nom Paleo and sautéed green beans with bell peppers

My throat hurt so much I could barely finish any of my food. Hoping that it gets better tomorrow so I can get back to my routine.

Whole30 Day 24

Breakfast: Bacon and egg frittatas with mixed berries

Lunch: Chicken and sweet potato hash from Whole30

Dinner: 2 egg omelet with bacon, mushrooms, and onions

The omelet was absolutely delicious. I’m still waiting for my throat to stop hurting.

Whole30 Day 26

Breakfast: Pureed strawberry popsicle

Lunch: Watermelon

Dinner: Chicken and sweet potato hash from Whole30

The Baby is sick now-it seems to be making the rounds. I’m still oiling everyone up and waiting to swallow without pain.

#bgfwhole30day27

Whole30 Day 27

Breakfast: Chicken and sweet potato hash from Whole30 with 2 poached eggs

Lunch: Pureed strawberry popsicle

Dinner: Eggs in Purgatory from Nom Nom Paleo

We’re all still under the weather, but at least the food is good! And I was able to keep it down. Must mean that all the Thieves I’ve been applying and diffusing is working!

#bgfwhole30day28

Whole30 Day 28

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs and bacon with blackberries and blueberries

Lunch: Egg foo young from Nom Nom Paleo and watermelon

Dinner: Apricot glazed pork chops from Make Ahead Paleo and sautéed brussels sprouts

I (thankfully) can get in to see the doc about this sore throat tomorrow!

I feel so badly for you with that sore throat. It’s just kicking your butt. The food you were eating looked really tasty, so what a shame you haven’t been able to enjoy it as much.

      Thank you Liz.

I’m sorry you were sick. I know when I’m not feeling well it can throw off anything I want to eat, but it looks like you got in some delicious foods. I’ve never heard of eggs pergatory before, I usually do over medium.

      You should try them!!

Sorry to hear you are not in the best of health and not being able to swallow properly does affect the way we interact with food! Perhaps some smooth, non chili soups with lots of healthy veggies! Hope you feel better soon!

So sorry about your throat – we are just finishing up a round of that here. I still have never actually eaten a watermelon. Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, yes – real watermelon, not-so-much. Your menu most days looks great though – especially breakfasts!

    • Brea on July 5, 2015 at 5:24 pm

How have you not eaten watermelon?! It’s amazing!!

Sore throats are the worst! Glad you’re feeling better. I need to start eating healthier too. Maybe if I record everything it will help me do so.

Being sick and trying a diet is so hard to do. With a sore throat you can’t even taste anything sometimes. The food looks and sounds amazing. I am a totally watermelon fanatic too so this would be a diet I would love. Thanks for sharing.
