Homemade Chocolate Mint Lip Balm Recipe

Looking for a way to keep your lips moist and minty fresh? This simple homemade chocolate mint lip balm recipe is just what you need!

I don’t know about y’all, but this cold weather is wreaking havoc on my lips. I literally can’t stand it.

You have to agree with me right? Chapped lips are one of the worst kinda pain. The cracking, the burning…ugh, seriously. It just needs to stop.

Luckily, I found my path to pucker heaven with this Chocolate Mint lip balm recipe. First off, it tastes like chocolate (don’t eat it…but a lick now and then can’t hurt, right?!) and it does an awesome job at protecting my lips.

This cold weather season, I’m taking charge of my kisser and keeping a tube of this in my purse, my car, and my coat. That way, it’s never far and my lips are always protected!

While I know it may be easier to head out to the store and just buy a lip balm off the shelf, don’t. Do you EVEN know what’s in it? And then to just go ahead and slather it all over your lips? No thank you. My lips (and yours) deserve better than that.

They deserve the best.

And you deserve to know whatever it is that you’re putting on your body. Period.

Take and combine your beeswax pellets, cocoa butter and coconut oil in a glass measuring cup. (or glass bowl or any type of container that is microwave safe)
Place in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Halfway through, stop and stir, and then finish with the remainder of the time.
Once done in the microwave, take out and mix in 1 chocolate chip. Next,  and a couple drops of peppermint oil into the mixture.

Once that is stirred together (doesn’t it smell amazing?!), take and pour your liquid mixture into your empty Chapstick tubes. (be very careful here!)  Any unmelted chocolate will settle in the bottle, so don’t worry.
Walk away and leave it alone to sit for about 15 minutes or so. (the hardest part of the entire recipe is being patient!)
