These super simple Marshmallow Bath Bombs are so easy and festive to make! Who doesn’t love the thought of a brightly colored DIY bath bomb?
I’m constantly making bath bombs. It’s not like I have an obsession of sorts….(or maybe I do), but I do love the fact that I can make such a wide variety with ease. These remind me of the Lush marshmallow bath bombs in a way.
Some days I want to relax with bath bombs that are more “calming” while others I want ones that are fizzy and full of fun. These Marshmallow Bath Bombs are not only fun, but they’re actually really, really awesome to create as well.
Marshmallow Bath Bombs
I’ve made these awesome DIY bath bombs on my own, and I’ve also created them with the kiddos. (although, I must say – they like these a little bit better than some of the others because…well, marshmallows.)
I’m not fibbing when I say that these are so much fun! Make them on your own, or make them with the kids – but whatever you do, just make ’em!

Easy Marshmallow Bath Bombs
If you’re looking for a fun bath bomb surprise, you won’t want to miss out on these!
Ingredients to make homemade marshmallow bath bombs
- 2 cups baking soda
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/4 cup SLSA
- 3 tablespoons coconut or castor oil
- Marshmallow scent
- 1 tablespoon polysorbate 80
- White Pearl mica powder
- White cosmetic glitter
- *Colored Mini Dehydrated Marshmallow Bits
- Spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
- 1 large mixing bowl
- Bath bomb molds or silicone molds
*Depending on the size of your molds, this will make different sized bath bombs.
How to make homemade bath bombs
Grab a large mixing bowl and add in your baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and SLSA.
Next, you’re going to want to add in the white pearl mica and white cosmetic glitter. (Yes, glitter!!!!!)
Once that step is done, you’ll need to add in the coconut oil and the polysorbate 80. (The point of adding in the poly 80 is so that it helps the coconut oil disperse more and stops the coloring from sticking to your tub.)
Now, time to make it smell delicious! Add in the marshmallow scent.
Time to mix all the ingredients together. You can have fun with using your hands to mix everything together or letting the kiddos help on this step!
Be aware that the marshmallows may start to get a bit sticky at this point, so if you want to roll them around in some glitter before you add them to the bath bomb mold, that can help. Plus, it also makes them shiny and beautiful!
Now, you will want to take a bath bomb mold and add a few marshmallow bits. Once you’re done with that, take and carefully sprinkle a bit of mixture to cover the marshmallows. Cover those puppies up! Once they are covered, you can then fill the mold the rest of the way. Continue doing this with the other bombs to the top with the red also.
Take and close and press both sides together, using a twisting/grinding motion to get rid of any excess mixture. You really want to make certain you’re packing them well.
Once they are added to the mold, leave them to harden for 24-48 hours. Once you are ready to remove them for use, you can get them out by gently tapping each side and carefully removing. If they aren’t coming out, they may not be quite ready yet!
You can lengthen their life by storing them in an airtight container until ready to use.
And when you’re ready to use one, just simply drop one in the bath and get ready to relax!
Totally simple to do, right? You’ll love the look and smell of these marshmallow bath bombs!
